Preparing Nursing Students with Immersive VR Simulation
By Michelle Fiscus, Senior VP & Chief Communications Officer
At Winston-Salem State University, Dr. Tori Brown and Dr. Noni Jefferson are using Patient Ready, a virtual reality simulator, to provide nursing students with hands-on clinical decision-making experience in a safe, clinically realistic environment.
Their work addresses one of nursing education's most longstanding challenges: preparing students for the judgment, communication, and decision-making that real patient care demands before they encounter high-stakes situations for the first time.
Watch the video above to learn how Patient Ready is strengthening North Carolina's healthcare workforce and helping WSSU graduates deliver exceptional patient care from day one.
