Preparing Nursing Students with Immersive VR Simulation

At Winston-Salem State University, Dr. Tori Brown and Dr. Noni Jefferson are using Patient Ready, a virtual reality simulator, to provide nursing students with hands-on clinical decision-making experience in a safe, clinically realistic environment.

Their work addresses one of nursing education's most longstanding challenges: preparing students for the judgment, communication, and decision-making that real patient care demands before they encounter high-stakes situations for the first time.
